Contest Rules and Regulations
1. SPONSOR:
The Coyote Logistics 2021 Local Peak Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Coyote Logistics, LLC, 2545 W. Diversey Ave., 3rd Floor, Chicago, IL 60647 (“Sponsor”).
2. ELIGIBILITY:
Subject to the additional limitations set forth below, the Contest is open only to motor carriers which are registered transportation providers for Sponsor as of the start of the Contest Period and which are registered to do business in one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and which have entered into a UPS Peak Project Commitment Appendix (a “Peak Contract”) with Sponsor for the local peak project (“Participants”). Participants who enter into a Peak Contract with Sponsor after November 1, 2021, are eligible to win the Weekly Prizes for any remaining Weekly Prizes after the Peak Contract entry deadlines (defined in Section 7 below) but are ineligible to win the Grand Prize. Participants who enter into a Peak Contract with Sponsor prior to November 1, 2021 are eligible to win all prizes. Contest is not open to employees of Sponsor, or any of its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies (collectively, the “Contest Entities”), or to the immediate family members of, or to any persons domiciled with, any such employees.
3. CONTEST PERIOD:
The Contest will begin at 12:00:00 a.m. Central Standard Time (“CST”) on November 28, 2021 and end at 11:59:59 p.m. (CST) on December 25, 2021 (the “Contest Period”).
4. HOW TO ENTER:
There are two ways to enter: the transport method and the mail-in method.
A. Transport Method:
A Participant which transports at least one (1) local peak shipment for the local peak project during the Contest Period will receive one (1) entry each time it completes a pick-up and drop of a trailer or an approved bobtail run (each, a “Trailer Run”) and utilizes Sponsor’s designated mobile application (hereinafter “Vector”) to log that Trailer Run. In order to receive an entry for a bobtail run, the name of the UPS personnel who approved the bobtail run must be notated in Vector (Example: “Approved per UPS John Smith”).
Service Requirements for Transport Method Entries:
- Penalty for Bounces:
If a Participant removes itself from an assignment within ten (10) hours of the scheduled start of that assignment (a “Bounce”), the Participant will lose one (1) entry during that Weekly Round and that lost entry will not be eligible to win in the Grand Prize Round. - Ineligibility Due to Service Failures:
Participant must have no service failures (each, a “Service Failure”) during a Weekly Round in order to win a prize during that Weekly Round. A Service Failure includes, but is not limited to, failure to report for assignment with at least 10 hours of the driver’s FMSCA Hours of Service 11-hour driving limit, taking of a non-sanctioned break, or failure to complete the full daily assignment (i.e. driver stopped the assignment early with Hours of Service time remaining without permission from Sponsor or UPS). If a Participant is deemed ineligible to win a prize during a Weekly Round due to a Service Failure, the entries for that Weekly Round may still be counted towards the Grand Prize Round. If Participant has a second Service Failure during the Contest, the Participant will be deemed ineligible to win a prize during the remainder of the Contest, including the Grand Prize Round. - Sponsor reserves the right to disregard a Bounce or Service Failure if such Bounce or Service Failure was due to an “Act of God Event” such as a snowstorm, flood, or similar. In the event a Participant’s truck experiences an Act of God Event, the Participant must contact the Sponsor at coyotecontest@coyote.com and request an exception to the above service requirements. All requests must be received prior to the close of the respective Weekly Round.
- Sponsor is not responsible for errors resulting from any malfunctions of the Vector mobile application or the manual entry by Sponsor or Participant of data into Vector. In the event Vector is not working or Participant’s driver experiences a technical issue with Vector, Participant must immediately email vectorhelp@coyote.com to address entry of the Trailer Run. In the event a Participant learns of a manual entry error, the Participant must contact the Sponsor at coyotecontest@coyote.com and request an adjustment to the above service requirements. All requests must be received prior to the close of the respective Weekly Round.
B. Mail-in Method:
To enter by mail without any purchase necessary (available for all eligible Participants), hand print in ink (a) your name, carrier name, carrier DOT Number, complete address, telephone number and email and (b) the statement “Please enter my motor carrier in the Coyote Logistics 2021 Local Peak Contest” on a 3×5 postcard and mail to: Coyote Logistics, LLC, 2545 W. Entries must be postmarked during the Contest Period and must be received by 12:00 p.m. CST on the relevant Drawing Date (defined below).
All entries become the property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons who Sponsor determines to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest.
