How Are Contest Points Assigned?

Each category is weighted differently, with service (60%) being the most important, followed by miles (30%) and tech tracking (10%).

Miles: points are assigned by total miles based on the mileage in the rate confirmation. Only load mileage will count towards points — deadheading before or after a load does not contribute to mileage points.
Service: score is calculated by taking the average of two KPIs:
- On-Time Pick Up Percentage (OTP)
- Transit Time
Tech Tracking: the driver team must use one of these two methods and make at least one digital location status update to receive full points for tech tracking on that load.

What Is Expedited Peak?
There are four different ways carriers can participate in Coyote Peak Season — one of them is Expedited Peak.
This type of freight involves longer hauls that are broken into multiple “legs,” generally moving between hubs and customer facilities.
Rates are per mile, loads are drop-and-hook with pre-loaded trailers, and most Expedited Peak freight requires driver teams.
